Nail, screw or slow puncture? We come to the vehicle, take the wheel off, inspect the tyre inside and out, and repair it where it is safe to do so.
Repair or replace?
A puncture is only repairable when the damage sits in the central tread area and the rest of the tyre is sound. We remove the tyre from the rim and check the inside — a tyre that has been driven on while flat often has hidden internal damage even when the outside looks fine.
If it can be repaired, it's repaired: it's the cheaper outcome and we'll tell you either way before any work starts. If it can't, we move straight to a replacement tyre so you're not left waiting a second time.
Common jobs we get called to
- Slow puncture that keeps triggering the tyre pressure warning light.
- Screw or nail picked up on a building-site access road or car park.
- Flat found on the driveway first thing in the morning before work.
- Kerbed or deflated tyre on a van that has to be back out on jobs.

Puncture repair FAQs
Can a puncture be repaired instead of replaced?
Where the damage is inside the repairable central tread area and the sidewall and internal structure are sound, a repair is usually possible and is cheaper than a new tyre.
When can a puncture not be repaired?
Sidewall damage, damage close to the shoulder, a tyre that has been driven on while flat, or a tyre already worn to the legal limit cannot be safely repaired. In those cases we'll fit a replacement.
Can you repair a puncture at the roadside?
Yes, where it is safe for us and for you to work at that location. If it isn't safe, we'll talk through the options with you.
Is a repaired tyre as good as new?
A correctly carried out repair within the repairable area restores the tyre for continued use. Repairs are only done where the tyre is genuinely repairable.
